AHRA’s Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) Exam Workshop is designed to facilitate attendees’ study and preparation for the CRA Exam. It focuses on areas to study as well as provides references and direction to other resources. Attendees should use the course to identify their respective areas of strength and weakness. Completion of the Workshop will help channel attendees in their foundation of study for the CRA Exam. The CRA Exam Workshop will be held live virtually, here through the AHRA Online Institute, with attendees joining instructors live on Zoom September 17 and 18. It covers each domain, or subject area, in the exam:

  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Operations Management
  • Asset Management
  • Communication & Information Management
  • Plus, test taking tips and more.

Attendees will be able to claim up to 7.5 CE credits (pending approval) attending the live sessions of this workshop.

Who do I contact if I'm unable to log into my Online Institute account?

How long will I have access to session recordings/materials?

All Virtual CRA Exam Workshop registrants will have access to session recordings and session materials until December 31, 2026.

How do I obtain CE credits? 

Only live CE credits will be available, so you must attend live to claim credits. Recordings of these sessions will not have CE available. In order to obtain CE credits for sessions attended on Thursday, September 17, and Friday, September 18, you must access the respective webinar sessions via your Online Institute account — this is how our system logs your attendance. Please note you must access each live Zoom session for its entirety in order to earn the associated CE credit(s). Then, you MUST complete the associated session evaluation; if you do not complete the session evaluation, you will not receive CE credit for that session.

How long will it take for my CE credits to appear? 

It will take up to 72 hours for your CE credits to appear in your Online Institute account.

We will discuss RFIs, RFPs, equipment life expectancy, needs assessment, forecasting, capacity analysis, modality appropriateness, service maintenance programs, and project teams. An individual attending this session will get an understanding of general information that will be in the domain of asset management on the CRA exam.

Financial Management (Thursday, September 17)
Financial Management Live Session

We will touch on basics such as understanding financial statements, fundamental accounting equations, financial ratio analysis, and budget preparations. But we will not be limited to basics. After all, what would fiscal management be without forecasting for future business, developing of a strategic plan for your department, or creating business plans? The next areas for review will be generating revenue with proper coding, billing, payor sources, pricing, and collection. Attendees will get an understanding of the expected information that will be in the domain of fiscal management on the CRA exam.

Operations Management Live Session

09/17/2026 at 4:30 PM (EDT)  |  90 minutes This session will cover key areas of operations management, including assessing customer satisfaction with imaging services using appropriate tools to enhance quality and serve the interest of stakeholders and responding to survey results using continuous quality improvement methods to enhance customer satisfaction and meet organizational objectives. The speaker will also discuss providing for the quality and appropriateness of patient care by coordinating the development and implementation of medical protocols to adhere to accepted standards of care and coordinating patient management by identifying and supplying necessary resources to provide optimal imaging services. Other topics include: establishing industry partnership by building alliances to leverage negotiating power, maximize resources, and developing opportunities; differentiating imaging services from those of competitors by developing marketing and public relations plans to maintain existing and attract new business; writing policies and procedures following federal, state, and other regulatory guidelines to comply with applicable standards and protect patients and other stakeholders; enforcing policies and procedures by monitoring compliance and providing feedback to uphold applicable standards; and developing a quality management program using process improvement tools to further enhance and complement the strategic goals of the organization.
