• Cloud-based protocol managers allow clinical teams to automatically import, export, remotely edit, create libraries, and distribute protocols. 

• Time spent travelling between scanner sites, as well as using clinical scanning time to perform CT protocol maintenance, is mitigated when a cloud-based protocol management system is used. 

• Obtaining uniformity in image quality via programming uniformity and checking for undesired changes and errors is easier with a cloud-based protocol management system.
